December and 2010 has come to a close!

Happy New Year all!.........December was a blur with work and running around...As of today we are into 2011...and tomorrow off to Aruba for 2 weeks of doing NOTHING!...other than, beach, pool and maybe some more beach!....Photo's when I return...

The Silly Season!

Hello everyone, the silly season has arrived along with the snow. Dave left for Arizona early Saturday morning for "work" and I say that lightly! Every year he attends an International Trade Show, and when I say attend - he shows up for a few hours and then plays golf!

We also had our first snow of the season, so I was the first to use the snowblower. Today's temperature has dropped to -10C' (I am not planning on venturing outside). Only a few weeks left until Christmas. Looking forward to the New Year...heading off to Aruba on the 2nd of January for 2 weeks...can't wait. I have started Christmas shopping, and the best way to do it is ONLINE! Still lost for ideas as to what to get the kids...but at least I am not driving endlessly from shop to shop and achieving nothing!

Thanksgiving Week...

Not a whole lot to report...

The weather has finally turned and winter is officially here...no snow yet, but I can feel it in my bones...

The last couple of days have seen the temps drop into single digits (Celsius!)

The restaurant I work at is open for Thanksgiving...I guess people don't like to cook and cleanup anymore! We have close to 600 reservations! So therefore I am working! We are open from 12-7pm so not a long day at all, probably just crazy!

We will do our Thanksgiving Dinner on Friday, which is no biggie, the kids are off school all week, so we are just taking it easy.

Kids have been trying to learn ice-skating and discovering that it is not as easy as it looks. I haven't given it a go yet, but am considering it, can't be too different from rollerblading can it?

Things have been fairly quiet in the Freeland household...but I thought I should chime in for an update...I do have some photo's of attempted ice-skating and will post them shortly...

A Hectic Weekend

A busy working weekend, filled with 7 hours of driving and a bout of Gastroenteritis!

It all started Friday night!....Hunter went a 7th birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese!...I went to work. So Dave and Shaina had a daddy-daughter dinner, while they waited for Hunter's party to end.

Saturday morning was fairly uneventful. Then at 11:45am it began! We were about to leave for another birthday party, when Hunter suddenly complained of stomach pains....then, out it came!...Fortunately he made it to the toilet and there was no major clean up required....11 hours later, a very exhausted little man finally fell asleep! 

Shaina still made it to the party, which was an hour and a half away...she stayed over night, which was just as well....I worked Fri, Sat and Sun night and missed most of the drama...I just did all the driving....home/party/work/home/party pickup/home/work/home!.........it was a bit of a blur...but we are all well...everyone else escaped and Hunter survived Sunday with no dramas and went back to school Monday!

A couple of headaches Monday...so we will see what the rest of week brings!
